ACCESSIBILITY POLICY AND MULTI-YEAR ACCESSIBILITY PLAN

Statement of Commitment

Hometech Window Corp. is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. Hometech Window Corp. believes in integration, equal opportunity and is committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner.  Hometech Window Corp. will do so by preventing and removing barriers to meet accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Hometech Window Corp. has the following policies and programs in place to support the above statement.

Health and Safety Policy and program.

Customer Service Accessibility Policy and plan.

Violence and Harassment Policy with programs for each.

Accessible Emergency Information

Hometech Window Corp. will provide customers and clients with publicly available emergency information in an accessible format upon request. If necessary Hometech Window Corp. will provide employees with disabilities any emergency response information needed.

Training

Hometech Window Corp. will provide training to employees in regard to Ontario’s Human Rights Code and Accessibility laws as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in ways that best suits the duties of the employees.

Hometech Window Corp. will establish a committee that will oversee the training needs using material supplied and developed by the Government of Ontario as required by law. Training will be developed for site specific situations in the workplace. The committee will keep records of training and testing provided and the names of those who have attended the training.

Training will be provided if there are any changes in the policies and/or programs related to the AODA or if employees  change roles in workplace responsibilities and require more information on accessibility requirements than they originally trained for. Training will be an ongoing event.

Information and Communication

Hometech Window Corp. is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. Consultation will take place with people with disabilities to determine their information and communication needs.

Feedback processes will be available upon request to people with disabilities

Hometech Window Corp. will make all employees aware of how the organization will support them if they have a disability or should the employee acquire a disability later in their career. (while employed with Hometech Window Corp..)

When Hometech Window Corp. updates or makes a new website it will conform to WCAG 2.0, Level A at the present time and will conform to WCAG 2.0, Level AA by Jan 1, 2021

Hometech Window Corp.  will take steps through printed and audio resources to make sure all publicly available information is made accessible by request no later than Jan 1,2016

Employment

Hometech Window Corp. is committed to fair and accessible employment practices for all employees. Steps will be in place through notification to the public and company employees that, when requested Hometech Window Corp. will accommodate people with disabilities during recruitment processes and training will be provided about the accessibility laws when people are hired.

Hometech Window Corp.  will be continuously vigilant in removing or reducing accessibility barriers as they are identified.
