Warning - Hometech Window Imposters
July 13th, 2010
One of the largest compliments we can get as a manufacturer is to have a consumer refer our products to friends and family. Hometech Window’s name is growing in the window industry due to our superior quality and good customer relations, and a strong, dedicated, efficient sales force. One of our challenges right now is miscellaneous dealers trying to close deals representing themselves as Hometech Window Dealers. There are even other companies whose name and logo’s are extremely close to ours. All in an effort to trick the consumer into believing that they will be getting something they are not. Although it is a compliment, people going to such lengths to try to be us, it is still not correct.
At Hometech Window we take this as a very important issue that must be dealt with. Consumers are being told that they will be receiving our product and being lured in with substantially lower costs and quality. As my dad use to say “you get what you pay for”.
We have taken a few steps to help the consumer be assured they will receiving the product they were promised. We started a program to register all our Authorized Dealers. They will each have a badge with their name, picture and registration number on it. There will be a 1-800# on the card so if you wish, you can call Hometech Window and verify your representative’s status with us. If there is any doubt as to if you will be receiving your windows manufactured to the Hometech Window specifications, please do not hesitate to call our office for verification.
EVERY UNIT that leaves our factory has a CSA label affixed to it with all the necessary CSA information as well as the Hometech Window logo. EVERY Cardinal sealed unit has the Hometech Window logo and the glass information etched right into the glass on the bottom corner. We might suggest that you specify on your contract that you will be getting Hometech Windows and look for these important signs before installation begins.
